i'm a hypocrite.
i'm a hypocrite.
hypocrite
noun
2. a person whose behavior contradicts their stated beliefs or feelings
the tldr is a bit of a clickbait lmao. i call myself a hypocrite - but not in the way you'd expect.
the typical thought of a hypocrite is "oh hey this person tells others to not slack off when they're slacking off!"
but that's not who i am. well, not entirely. because i do - admittedly - do that sometimes, telling others to lock in when i'm sitting in my room playing games all day... but that isn't the full picture. and that's not what this short blog is about.
i have a buncha friends. they're all cool. but sometimes we fall, metaphorically. we deal with stuff in life, but we help each other out! we open up (or at the very least ask ourselves to) and support one another. i don't wanna be the guy that takes up all the credit, but i feel like i'm the "hey it's all gonna be fine" type of person in my main friend group. and it actually helps me too!
you know, the feeling when your friend does something thanks to you?
that's exactly why i'm a hypocrite.
i tell my friends to open up because it's easier for them that way, so they won't have to bear as much weight - and yet i sit here, letting my thoughts consume me whole.
though that is a GIANT over exaggeration. or is it?
vagueposting.
i have a friend (hey dude i know you're reading this you ok? i care for you bro u aren't alone, you are loved, and cared for) - who would constantly vaguepost their situation.
something along the lines of tweeting "bad idea" or running etan bot commands to pick between "a", "c", "f", "secret fourth option".
i don't wanna be the guy with the big ego, but i am pretty good at looking through these vagueposts, and i know exactly what they're going through.
why?
because i literally DO those things lmfao
so yeah. who knew being a hypocrite could actually help?
is to use your mistakes - learn from them, but also help others.
because i still constantly make the mistake of not opening up.
but i use that mistake to tell others - friends or otherwise - to open up to trusted ones for help!
so if you need help, please seek it. vagueposting on twitter won't do you justice.
and also - if it's an emergency or something real serious - call the appropriate hotlines.
